DNPA Code of Ethics

Goal: In every facet of our business operations, we at News50on strive to maintain the highest ethical standards. This policy is intended to guarantee that each member of our team behaves honorably, abiding by all applicable laws and rules, and refraining from any behavior driven by self-interest.

Gifts, Favors, and Payments

– Payments, gifts, and favors given by News50on must be in line with standard business procedures, have a limited value, be legal, and not embarrass the company if revealed to the public.
– It is against business policy to give associates of clients money, commissions, or other benefits without a formal contract.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, and Payments Received:

– Especially from organizations doing or wishing to do business with News50on, associates are not allowed to solicit or accept gifts, favors, entertainment, or payments without a valid business reason.
– Common courtesy related to business operations and small-value gifts are exceptions. Strict guidelines are in place, though, particularly with regard to supplier gifts.
– Conflicts of Interest:
– When personal interests collide with those of News50on, associates should steer clear of the situation and notify their manager right away.
– This includes holding stock in outside companies that compete with or do business with News 50on, working alongside rivals, or any other situation that might jeopardize the company’s interests.

Confidential Information

– Confidential information must never be used or disclosed without authorization. Misuse will lead to disciplinary action, including termination.

Compliance

– Discipline up to and including termination will result from breaking this policy. Any infractions that associates learn about must be reported.

Social Media Guidelines:

Introduction:

– Since social media posts are essentially public declarations with enduring effects, one should use caution when posting them.
– Employee Handbook policies must be understood and followed by associates.

Be Careful What You Post:

– Inappropriate content may lead to disciplinary action, including termination, and associates are personally accountable for their online behavior.
– Personal opinions should be reflected in posts, and any allusions to news50on should be clearly marked as such.

Be Respectful and Professional:

– Avoid posting anything that can be interpreted as offensive, threatening, or harassing, and always act professionally and politely.
– Don’t share inaccurate or misleading information, and respect other people’s privacy.

Be Honest and Accurate:

– Precision is crucial, and errors must be fixed right away. Any alterations made to earlier posts should be openly disclosed by associates.

Respect Laws and Confidentiality:

– All legal and confidentiality requirements, such as copyright and privacy laws, must be followed by associates. Never divulge private company information without permission.

Report Your Concerns:

– Human Resources should be notified right away of any suspicions of possible policy violations. Whistleblower retaliation is strictly forbidden.

Plagiarism and Fairness:

News reporters must maintain fairness by giving all parties involved in a story the chance to respond appropriately, as plagiarism is not accepted at News 50 on.
